GET UP! Now that’s a title that will hold its own in the last half of 2009. A festive happening that will amaze with its musical content entertained by the top bands featured at parties over the last 50 years.
And how? Nothing could be simpler! Call on a dozen entertainers and supercharged musicians and give them the green light on a playlist made famous by the greats of the entertainment industry - Elvis Presley to Madonna, along with James Brown, the Beatles, Prince and Justin Timberlake. Among the performers on the stage are Stéphanie Bédard (Star Académie 2005, Joe Dassin Tour – La grande fête musicale), Stéphane Yelle (Yelo Molo), Julie Massicotte (Joe Dassin – La grande fête musicale)* and Gardy Fury (Génération Motown, RENT, Notre-Dame-de-Paris), working under the musical direction of Joël Champagne (Les Années Disco, Elvis Story, etc.).
Drawing from a top of the charts successes that’ll satisfy the most serious partygoers, Get Up! puts the spotlight on a playlist that brings together the best of rock, disco, soul and pop. Designed by Yves Décary and Émilie Phaneuf handling production, this show is the perfect tonic for the ears and the boodie!
