UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

In the fall of 2005, Groupe Phaneuf was mandated to deliver three turnkey events, consisting of two opening ceremonies, Canada Night and nine other cultural events as part of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change held in Montreal.

CHALLENGE:

Produce the official Canadian cultural content for the two official ceremonies for a conference attended by over 10,000 participants with global media coverage. Creating two unique artistic productions and organizing a reception for over 3,000 guests with a Canadian cultural content in line with the conference’s environmental theme.

SOLUTION:

Recruit a creative, multidisciplinary production team to develop different concepts in a short period of time. Maximize artistic and production resources while optimizing communication and creativity. The decision to combine multimedia during the artistic performances served both the live and television audiences well.

RESULTS:

The Biodome with its ecological riches was the ultimate idea that served to produce a grandiose environmental event. In addition to amazing artistic productions and choreographies combining multimedia and three-dimensional illusion, we offered a unique and original experience to all the participants.
