"Longueuil remixé": a big multidisciplinary show designed by Pierre Gagnon for Longueuil’s 350th anniversary celebrations. A mandate from the organizing committee for the city of Longueuil celebrations.
CHALLENGE:
Integrating 350 years of a town’s history into a 90-minute entertaining and community based show on a small budget.
SOLUTION:
Propose a type of show combining live artistic performance and multimedia content that highlighted Longueuil’s history with a combination of professional artists and amateur groups.
RESULTS:
Eight sold out representations with unanimous favourable reviews; a CD with original songs from the show and the involvement of over 100 people from the community.
